Digital Photo Frame... Finally

Hi folks,
Finally after mths of searching at various electronic houses, I got what I wanted for ard SGD 300 bucks.

Samsung Digital Photo Frame with battery operated function. This will allow me to showcase my shirts design while on the move. Previously, I did try out carrying laptop but it did not work that well as it is heavy and I have to worry abt waiting time for starting it up.

Now,

Hi Alfie,
I have tailored a few 2-ply checkered shirts at Pi Paza some time ago - XXXXXX.
Long sleeve at $90 and Short sleeve at $75. Long sleeve is for office wear, short sleeve for normal wear and to be worn tug out.Got a few prooblems. I do not really know how to describe it.... but my picture explain everything.As you can you for the long sleeves shirts, the "line" are not aligned at the wrist area. Then for the short sleeves, the bottom is totally not "straight" at all.Is this normal problem for checkered shirts from other tailor as well? Or is it really bad tailoring from XXXXXXXXX, I did not complain to them when collecting the shirts... only realized the problems a few weeks later after wearing a few occasions. Now I fold up my sleeves for the long sleeves and tug in the short sleeves shirt when I wear them.Other problems with XXXXXXX is their button come loose very easily and yes lot of loose threads....Pls comments. Thank! s.Basically I prefer checkered shirts as I am slim..... heard they say slim guys should wear checkered shirts.

Its another beginning..
I started to learn Guitar starting this mth.. Paying someone to teach me ( I know its wasting money but well if someone can teach me 1:1 I am willing )

This mth it’s a spending mth for me went Kuala Lumpur first week of April followed by Bangkok for long PH break..
Then its back to work..
Sian.. Work.. Now economy is down so I am affected no pay increment to everyone.. But my pay is already so low why not increase abit tok long la..

Lately, a long friend of mine was injured. Badly and seriously injured. His shin guard on his right leg broke into 2. This happened during valentine day.

I did felt guilty for a while as his injury was due to an earlier injury he suffered when he went swimming with my late last year.

He was my running and swimming buddy at Nanyang Polytechnic.

I remember recalling him asking this question to me..

Hey why did u stop all the cycling with us? ( I used to cycle with him before from Toa Payoh all the way as far as Sembawang )
I replied him ..
I want to cycle but thinking of wat I want to achieve in life the next couple of years, I have to give up some injury prone sports…
Who will take care of my shirts biz if I get injured? Who will assist me? I told myself that I have to be responsible to my clients and my ambitions.

Give n take… that’s life. You win some you lose some..

Sometimes I wonder.. In my mind this stuff..It takes someone with knowledge & leadership qualities to build an empire of army in years..It might take someone w/o those capabilities forever to build a simple patoon of soldiers..
Tats the same when building an empire of business .. someone u might know might prove my sentence right if..
Its easy to start a business and be your own boss. ( Jus register with the GOVT )Its never easy to rule and run an empire as smooth as u wanted.. the collaspe of the big banks might be an example.
So in simple terms its never simple and easy as what a normal singaporean thinks..Being the boss or the Government is never an easy task as thought!

End Of The Year

The end is coming; another year is going to start. Yeah Fast..

These few years I have seen the raise of online sellers, mostly from blog selling. Blog Selling is very useful for starters with a low cost model to start their business. Online selling and buying on auction sites have slowly shifted it trends in local market to the more effective blog selling. Youngster started to buy online via blog as it is cheap, easy to use and friendly. Products less than 50 bucks bought off their sites are normally not standardized products; Buyers are normally looking for cheap stuff. Well, how long will this trend last? Maybe another 2 years this will slowly die off.

Achievement for 2008
Aiming high and falling high, this year my aim is just simply getting recognition for THE HOUSE. Easy and simple logic when biz jus started. I believe in slow and steady. Enjoying the slow process.

Aim Next Year
I hope I am ready to launch THE HOUSE in Australia. My mates are waiting.. (If I do get bonus from the bank job 80% of it will be used to re-invest in THE HOUSE with better catalogue and stuff)

My daily Routine Work
0745- Mobile Phone Alarm Ring..wakey wakey
0815- Struggling to get out of my bed
0820- Finally feel like waking up
0820-0830- 10mins to quickly look throught the daily newspaper
0830-0840- brush my already clean teeth for a gee lart gee lart finishing so that i can charm the ladies hopefully. Simply style my hair, wear the office UNIFORM which is formal wear
0840-0850 - prepare to leave my house.
0855- squeeze into the jam packed mrt, luckily i am tall and slim enough to stuck myself into the train.. Heng Ar... I am tall so cannot smell any body juice of unclean people.
0915-0925 - Reach the office
1200-1315 Luch time. Head to Fitness First to maintain my already fit body haha
1315- Back to my seat and eating ta bao food my work mate ta bao for me... 5min all it take for my BIG MOUTH to finish all the (NOT ENOUGH .. I added rice and noodles super upsize) food.
1545- Went away for a break go to ta bao subway for tea break
1600- Back to work...
2100- Leave office
2130- Meet last Client of the day If ANY
2300- Reach Back Home, watch the news on CHANNEL U. Then catch any funny tv shows
2345- Shower and Head to another work
0000- Check on email, replying msn and mail, then off to do the orders.
0100- Sleep time....

Thats about my daily work.
I try to get 7HRs of sleep if Possible

Btw ytd one of my new client, Mr NTU Lecturer u reali did surprise me... Well he is the first lecturer that need my service..... Amazing who will be next .. Mayb Member of the Parliament..Mr Lee? haha

Another week have passed. Its long tiring and well same old shit… working in the office is not fun @ all esp the shit piles up and yr boss tell u "guys, pls be efficient at work .. !!"

How are u going to be efficient when people are going on leave and leaving the firm.. Fuck la.. How to do fast… when u got heaps of ad-hoc stuff to handle.

Sometimes I jus wonder.. our team is suffering from lack of manpower and while other teams tat can leave at 6pm are still recruiting people.. Can't the management see where is seriously in need of manpower???

What is wrong ??
I am a person who always think positive.. However, this doesn't make me feel positive at all.. I love working with wonderful and interesting or say beautiful people… its not the looks! I mean personality.. Well mayb abit of that la.. After all we are human beings.. I HATE people who cannot use their BRAINS to think ..

Whats Fair play in biz?
It might seems fair in the eyes of law and to people who are not in any biz industry.
But ...Its WAR

An example that i can quote was the days of Mediacorp and Mediaworks
They fight for the following
- Market share
- Viewership
- Ratings (by private survey company.. nelson..or so n so )
- Profits

The ultimate winner .??. walk away with Single Monopoly of Viewership.. EAT THEM UP

The losing party
- Being eaten up.. Obviously overtaken by Mediacorp
- Pay for losses of the WAR... Sell away assets, overtaken by Mediacorp
- Being in history
- The soldiers (employees) cry ...and in history books POW work for their enemy (which are why artistes and employees are now in Mediacorp)

How true is it?

Thinking of signing up for the fitness first gym @ level 8 at my workplace... its XXX 123 per mth and 80 registration.... Really not worth, but thinking of the convenient location I can get... its very worth.. Its jus like those days in aus accomdation unilodge, gym suana free to use at anytime of the day no worries..

How to further save yr COST in this RISING COST WORLD!!!
1) Charge yr handphone in office.. esp friday evening so that yr phone is fully charge for the weekend ( DON"T WASTE YR OWN ELECTRICITY.. If best bring whatever things to office to CHARGE!!!!! etc digital camera, ipod, mp3 player)
2) Use Office Stationary.. ( Pens, ruler, eraser... or whatever.. for yr sons daughter or even yr friend birthdy present lol.. hhahah)
3) Stop Subscription of newspapers go office and read.. ( Unfortunately my bank don't have newspaper)

3mths.. and still going working at credit suisse. Its amazing the way i got this job, I have no idea why i landed in this banking operations job. I jus needed a job to boost income into THE HOUSE.

Thanx to Mr Jeremy Yeo a client of mine as well who recommended me into this line. Its a gd employee working environment so far, beside the long workin hrs which i hated. Well, I tend to forget abt the long working hrs when it reaches the 24th of each mth.. PAY DAY!!

I can plan very strong marketing campaigns, but right now I can't activate this.

Reason: Dissatisfaction will occur, I cannot attend to most of my clients as my weekdays night and weekends are limited. If Capacity increase, my services will decrease based on my current way of doing. This will result in negative word of mouth and negative message convey to potential clients of their waiting period to see me.........THE IMPACT: CLIENTS GOING AWAY

To overcome this problem, I have to have a stronger workforce.

How To Remove Stubborn Stains on Collar

Okay .. U guys have been asking how I remove my stains in my collars and cuffs.
Here are my solutions to share with u guys. If u have better method please feel free to email or msn me.. and I will share with the rest of the readers..

Okay here is the Stain Collar
This is the Magic Spray Solution, u can get it at all leading departmental stores.

Spray on the stained area evenly, please read the f... instructions as well. After Spraying please leave it for 5mins to allow the fabric to absorb the solution. Then u rub it gently, the stain will slowly come off.. But, to remove the stain fully, stoaked the shirt into a bucket with abit of washing powder overnight.

Next day, rinse it with water and do the normal hand washing method the way u wash yr clothes.

Okay here it is after washing. Stain 95% remove.... nothing is 100%.. cos its no longer a Virgin shirt. But this is close to perfect .. Try it

To all business leaders or team leaders or etc..... If u came across this blog I am going to share with u a simple and realistic management way of understanding yr employees tat I have personnally try before. It works v. amazing..

It is the norm tat in office we have the interview session with work mates and supervisior etc.. Doing this interview do they reali say their true feelings? Will they reali express how they feel for the team in tat short period of interviewing process? The ANSWER : NO... cos who will wanna say bad things or say bad stuff to their boss directly on their face.. cos after all they are there for the money ..lol.. to have lesser problem most of them will keep quiet no matter how bad or negative their heart will feel.

Solution : ( I learn this in the army )

Ask yr employees to write a letter expressing on simple things ....
The writer is not suppose to write his name as this is PRIVATE
They are suppose to type it, else hand writtten format will reveal who the person wrote it.

1. wat u feel about the company
2. name all the team members and write what u like and dont like abt them, rank who u want to eliminate first. Describing the worse first and the best last..
3. Next write on all the bosses tat u work with, wat u like and dont like about them including the worse
4. What you want to express out tat can be on management, work pratice issue or even complains. Be daring to say anything cos they will not know who wrote it. Its yr turn to fuck them or say things gd abt them.

Seal it in an envelope and drop it in the collection box at a situated time stated..

U will be surprise what the results will be cos this is where the true verdict will reveal..
Everyone will come out with the same conclusion of a common person to elimate and this person might be a gd worker in the eye of the boss but not to the rest of the team.

On the other hand, the boss will know what is bad or gd on that he/she need to change or improve on it. Issue like temper, management leadership or even bad habit like digging n0se in office .. haha......

Well, I beta not say who she is cos l know my blog will be known to her if my biz turn out to become a global brand.... but on the other hand if she is an open minded person she will be proud that she hav an employee that drives his own biz.....and be amazed that how on earth this person cope with work and his personal biz??

Or in the other hand, she will be a boss that rather want an employee tat jus work for her blindly and complete her task so that she won't get any bad record in the employee folder of hers.

To me, I prefer working with people who have the passion and drives.. cos these people make sure things get done and they are serious abt it. Even if they quit my company I know they will survive well in the desert land outside.

Was with my mate Tom for dinner after working long hours OT....... this topic started to flow...
am I moonlighting ..?

erm.. I tell him no which I have to defence.. If a person with a family of 5 earning lets say 1k per mth, he definately need more $ to feed his parents and children. So in the legal terms yes he is moonlighting,but in the moral eyes NO he is not he. He is doing for the survival of his family. We all read the news tat some poor folks work more than 2 jobs to survive, in concluding this with the common law this is not moonlighting

I am not in that situation.. okay .. This example will be more like my case. Mr ALPHA loves to teach and teaching tuition on weekends or after work is his passion in life... will his part time tuition job affect his normal full time job? no.. its jus an interest.

Moonlighting is a very general word. It can be working for 2 parties with the conflict of the same interest. Lets say a marketer who works for Macs and KFC.
In this case both are in the F & B retail sector. thereby his case will be more of a moonlighting.

0900- reach office on time if not within the next 10mins cos MRT always got delay
0900-1300 - Start work in the office. Doing the daily routine work finding the quick pick toto no. on the shares stuff pick out the nos. that i am looking for. Adjusting them to the right set of figures. Btw I am attach to a lady well she is someone like Lydia sum, if i can't do the work correctly she will say.... "aiyo i teach u already right, did u write down anot??? Don't bring trouble to me. I am very Busy!"

1300-1400- go for lunch. Raffles Place area really got heaps of good food

1400-2000- Afternoon balancing of the so call toto numbers... If you can't balance she will say and nag the same old stuff. "aiyo i teach u already right, did u write down anot??? and I have removed most of my fucking faces from those pictures posted.. lol.. cos I wanna keep my little small business away from my work mates @ Credit Suisse.. To protect the interest of all parties..

Its like (Axmy) the regular forces... those regulars cannot have sideline yet they use their wife name to register business..

Well to me its more like guys playing computer games (WoW) after work... its their interest. So this is my interest.. As long as I perform well in my full time work I guess no one will bother... Unless they wanna backstab me....

Workmanship Nightmare and my friend paid 150 for that! I need Gordon Ramsay (Hell's Kitchen) to really f.them up

The first 2 pics are from X Tailor .. well my friend told me they will never ever go back to them.

Okay, first pic.. I open up the button of the shirt, u see the end of the fabric jus behind the button hole I can open everything.. OMG I can even pull the thread!

The 2nd 2pic shows something call a simple stitching to me its call the lazy joint... durability okay. Its taken from my friend shirt. Let share with u wat I learn from Branded or say quality stuff.

Raoul shirts, open up the button see behind the button holes... complete stitiching. Excellent shirt

Next the armhole area to the body area stitching. Perfect, u paid for what u deserved. 100% good workmanship. Minus point.. too X.. and make in developing countries.. but at least u pay for their good stuff.

For my shirts, I did R&D and learnt from leading brands what they did. All these evidence can be seen in HUGO BOSS, Raoul... and etc

For THE HOUSE, I ensure that all my clients pay for QUALITY Workmanship and Fabric.. I think myself as a end consumer, will I want to buy a crap stuff.. ans NO. I set the culture of my standards reali HIGH to ensure that every customer deserved what they pay for when they get things done from THE HOUSE.

NOTHING LEAVE THE HOUSE UNDONE!

Don't ever blame those tailor why they didn't do good workmanship for yr shirt.. cos u didn't ask for it the first place. Furthermore most tailor will charge u extra for a good workmanship on top of the 150 u paid for... Afterall u r the willing buyer.. U paid for it.
