Pricing and Charges

My new Price Charges will be range between $100 to 120. Charges depends on quality of fabric. Clients can start making reservations for next season fabric which are currently avaliable for viewing. Reservations charges of $20 applies.

Basic Charges
2 Ply Shirts
a) Short Sleeve Shirts - xx for a basic shirt
b) Long Sleeve Shirts - 100-120 (depends on fabic, latest season or off season)
* Season stuff refers to latest fabric (newer fabric I have to buy at higher prices ), so those standard fabric are still 100 ( considered cheap as I did my own research ). Remember I stress on quality so dun worry still good ok!*

Additional Charges
a) French Cuff - 5
b) Single Pocket - no charge
c) Double Pocket - 8
d) Thicker Collar - 10
e) Thicker Cuff - 10
f) Design Complication - ask
g) Mix and match of 2 fabric -ask
h) Double collar - 20

The Maximum Cap will be fixed at 120, this means if u have very complicated design, alot of additional add-ons and using good quality fabric the most you pay is only 120.

On the other hand, if you just want a basic trendy long sleeve shirts, the most you are paying is only 110

Why I increase?
After weeks of consideration, I have no choice but to increase my prices Imagine tailoring shirts using European fabric which is of better quality and finishing. Furthermore, I am paying in euro. Those who have done their shirts by THE HOUSE you should know I do quality, trendy not cheap skate stuff.

Thailand offer a cheaper alternative if u looking for cheap they charge only 25

Overall, I am still cheaper compared to tailoring firms and plus in house service. THE HOUSE are still f***ing worth it

Food Poisoning..

After days of suffering, I went to see a doctor and know that I suffered from food poisoning.. TMD.. what a bad timing .. So fucking unlucky... Still very weak now.. this is the first time I suffer from food poisoning.. ..

To ALL:
I have stop taking in any orders from now until 17/2/08 ( Sunday ). Business will resume after cny. I will deliver all the shirts to all clients asap once I received it.

--Next few days I will show pictures of all the shirts that my clients have made...

--From next mth, new prices will be set and a better catalogue to showcase the fabrics.

I have seen the next season shirts sample from my supplier as well.. will post pics to showcase it.

From Nothing to Producing Something

Looking at the shirts with the brand of THE HOUSE.. Stress level start to increase. Will my client fits correctly to the shirt... what if it does not fit.. what if things doesn't turn out the way he want?..
Slowly, I will see on the streets of Orchard.. hey that fellow is wearing MY HOUSE lol... my dream is far yet achievable..

incremental increase of 2 additional orders per mth.. so it means .. its abt 144 orders for year 2008.. = approx....$11, 520 worth of sales... that's the minimum standard...

Back to some questions ask by my clients..
What makes u wanna start this business??
.. well.. customize making is going down scale due to the monopolise of ready make garments that have flutuate the markets since 1990s... I believe that customise apperal or clothes still have their own attraction. As people get richer and richer.. the demands for more exclusive and personalise services shall increase.
On the other hand, people who are tall, skinny, fat etc can't buy clothes off the shelves.. cos ready make garments are always make for the average size. SO ARE YOU THE AVG SIZE?.. hence there is market..
Last but not least, big firms rather cater to the average size cos ... avg size market are where they get the most sales ..

Welcome 2008...... time flies so is my youth.......... getting older again...lol
Every year it seems the same old logic in life cycle is happening .. as in .. u lose some things in life.. and u gain something unexpected. That why life is always full of excitement cos u dunno wat u gonna lose this year again......or wat u gonna gain ...........

What I have accomplished in my life this year..
1. Participate in Australian Business Icon and being among the finalist ... ( Will blog on it wats tt about http://www.qld.australianbusinessicon.com/)
2. Gain good business networking for me to market my offering in Australia one day.
3. Completed my bachelor in Queensland University of Technology
4. Gain experience working in a commercial kitchen in Viet De Lites ( Vietnamese Restaurant ) and Vinos ( Aussie Restaurant ). Knowing how to operate a commercial kitchen.
5. Been to Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. Driving down from Brisbane.
6. First time to see snow ... knowing what is snow for the first time in my life.
7. First time to start doing my own business and its shirt making..
8. First time to feel what is like seeing your final product and proud of it.
9. Becoming an uncle
10. Went to Taiwan and most importantly went to my friend big companies and see the operation of a food processing company (http://www.mayfull.com.tw/)
11. Learn the important of management human and work aspect.

Misses and Sadness
1. Almost started OzBbq business in Australia .... but fail to start off due to partnership problems
2. Understand how hard it is to get what you wanted when u start a business
3. Feeling of giving up half way there when u feel the bankroll of business getting used up
4. Seeing and knowing your love one is no longer yours
5. Pressure to make sure things work out as life is a gamble.
6. Fail to travel to Great Barrier Reef

Year 2008 My GOALS....
1. Get more brand awareness for THE HOUSE and hit my sales quota as planned
2. Get a full time job in servicing industry to learn more about work cycle and stuff to implement in my business. Most importantly get a company to pay for my CPF
3. Learn Guitar and hopefully play it to the one I love one day ( trying hard to... lol)
4. Start launching THE HOUSE of Ladies starting last quarter of the year
5. Word of mouth spreading
6. Catalogue done.. for THE HOUSE
7. Venture off slowly among my aussie mate of my tailoring shirts using online medium
8. Helping my family business to continue or work better...... hopefully
9. Have at least 2 sales agent by end of 2008 to assist in my sales
10. Have a learning culture in my business.. keeping in trend learning new ways of working and doing things. Staying focus is part of business survival.
