Dear Loyalty Readers,
From tdy onwards, I will not post any pics of my face lol.. cos its not my core product ....
and I have removed most of my fucking faces from those pictures posted.. lol.. cos I wanna keep my little small business away from my work mates @ Credit Suisse.. To protect the interest of all parties..

Its like (Axmy) the regular forces... those regulars cannot have sideline yet they use their wife name to register business..

Well to me its more like guys playing computer games (WoW) after work... its their interest. So this is my interest.. As long as I perform well in my full time work I guess no one will bother... Unless they wanna backstab me....

Okay, first pic.. I open up the button of the shirt, u see the end of the fabric jus behind the button hole I can open everything.. OMG I can even pull the thread!

The 2nd 2pic shows something call a simple stitching to me its call the lazy joint... durability okay. Its taken from my friend shirt. Let share with u wat I learn from Branded or say quality stuff.

Raoul shirts, open up the button see behind the button holes... complete stitiching. Excellent shirt

Next the armhole area to the body area stitching. Perfect, u paid for what u deserved. 100% good workmanship. Minus point.. too X.. and make in developing countries.. but at least u pay for their good stuff.

For my shirts, I did R&D and learnt from leading brands what they did. All these evidence can be seen in HUGO BOSS, Raoul... and etc

For THE HOUSE, I ensure that all my clients pay for QUALITY Workmanship and Fabric.. I think myself as a end consumer, will I want to buy a crap stuff.. ans NO. I set the culture of my standards reali HIGH to ensure that every customer deserved what they pay for when they get things done from THE HOUSE.

Don't ever blame those tailor why they didn't do good workmanship for yr shirt.. cos u didn't ask for it the first place. Furthermore most tailor will charge u extra for a good workmanship on top of the 150 u paid for... Afterall u r the willing buyer.. U paid for it.

The Ongoing Competition

Recently, I received an email from someone in this industry that was quite unhappy about why did I do my business that way and why you wanna enter this so call "territory" when Singapore market is already so small....." are u trying to snatch our rice bowl".

When I received this email, I was quite annoyed. After which I sat down and ponder how should I put my words.

I am flattered by his mail knowing that tailors seen me as a threat after a few months of entering in the business. To those tailors, I seen myself as a competitor of HUGO BOSS, RAOUL all the big brand names who perceived quality value services as part of their core services. I don't wanna be competitors of small firms... BIG firm normally survive better in terms of inflation or say economies of scales... Small firms suffered.. I have the knowledge of running and managing a successful business and why should I think of compeition with small firms.. THINK BIG GROW BIG

To me a successful business is one like Donald Trump. Sir Richard Brandson.. and not Mr Uncle Mohammad that owns a small grocery, small roadside make-shift stall...

People like Mr Trump and Sir Brandson, turning nothing to something is their meaning in life... and tats me.. my characteristic... Mr Uncle Mohammad on the other hand, jus wanna earn a few thousand per mth and see meaning in life..

To those small operators, if u are reading my blog... Ask yrself this will u become a muti national company? or something like Breadtalk having chain of outlets globally.. can U? If u don't have the knowledge jus be Mr Mohammad stick with yr little stall.. Greater Power comes greater Responsibilities... If Mr Trump were to fail now.. do u know the economic impact that his country have to burden and how many will be jobless..DO U KNOW THAT? If a small vendor were to fail .. will the people of Singapore suffer with him .. ans NO.

It takes great leadership... to be successful... I congrats Taiwan for appointing a great leader as the President Mr Ma Ying-jeou. I see someone with great leadership & talents in him..

I am Finally out of JOBLESS State

After Enduring months of unemployment and sending heaps of resume to all sorts of companies, agency etc. I am getting out of this ... HELL MONTHS.

Imagine coming home wondering in the sky WILL I GET EMPLOYED!!... Well, these are the miserable days I had suffered... Been so down and demoralised!..

Yesterday, 1700HRS a call came in................... U R HIRED!..

WOWOWOWOWOWOW .... I am so fuxxing HIGH.. Btw, congrats to the nice gentlemen tat send my resume to their boss and help me get a job. Yes! u got a shirt courtesy of THE HOUSE. (You will always be the VVIP of THE HOUSE)

Its operations job in CREDIT SUISSE.. Yes the fucking BIG BANK .. Working in Raffles Place. Gone are the days of endless waiting..

Now, I can get pay from the bank to finance my little business. Normally, small start-up firms borrowed loan from the bank or relatives.. (Becoming instant debtors). However most ended up working for the bank to repay their loans and not working for the business.
For me, I work for the bank and getting paid to finance my little business.......and not my BUSINESS WORK FOR THE BANK!!!

With my pay injection, THE HOUSE can go faster.. and grow faster .... establish further... (BTW an investor is interested in my stuff.. I am awaiting to meet up with him soon)

Cost of re-doing the old image, from name cards, labels and the current image that clients have already embedded in their minds.

Launching THE HOUSE OF LADIES will be a headache, the design and logo doesn't fits exactly what I wanted initially.

The House which is the main brand and gentlemen, ladies and fashion will be the subset. Just like Singtel, Virgin ... Personally I prefer red colour as it is always the leading colours in BIG COMPANIES!

Heachache Should I change? or not?

Interviews

I went to interview today.. Hopefully I can get the job.

Lately, I had seen the hardware zone forum and saw a guy wearing white tailored stuff. Very Nice and Very Korean feel, the price he paid for was reasonable. Base on my understanding and my knowledge, the shirts fabric is just average level.

Normally I will share with my clients the costing concept. That is if they make a shirt for 100 bucks, the costing should normally be around 30% to 40% the most that is the norm for business to survive (Remember there are other cost as in overheads not mention). The cost is divided by 2 again for workmanship and fabric. The workmanship cost is standard while the fabric is the variable cost.

A good fabric will cost as much as 25 US per mth. (Standard tailor prefer those at 10US per mth)So, if you are being charge 100 for custom make shirt. I can estimate how much the fabric cost without feeling and knowing the quality.

Back to the norm, a high end tailoring firm will use fabric that are more x... than a road side tailor store. That's Logical if u think of the business aspect! Profit Margin.

I will remove this entry in 7days time cos I don't wanna get people from this industry to know tat I am writing this.. secret.. Although is commonsense, I think to play safe I shall remove

Speechless..

Its been another week.. and its going mid of March. WTF I am still jobless, whats wrong with the Singapore Policy. Some jobs only require female, some recruitment agency dun even bother to assist me. I am speechless, 3 mths jobless will it hit 4?


Been sending heaps of resume yet a few reply.. hopefully I can get the job.
